    Description

***********FOR REPAIR - ETA 2782 automatic movement does not run.  And when trying to set the time the screwdown crown unscrews.  Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is required.***********
This seldom seen Rewel diver has a matte black "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in lovely
but not perfect condition as it shows some edge and age-related wear.
The tritium on the dial and hands, which no longer emits a glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully.
    The
    bezel is missing.
The heavy duty all stainless steel
case is in decent condition showing some bruising
with no visible signs of oxidation.  The outer edge of the case back is stamped "ANTIMAGNETIC   SHOCKRESISTANT   AUTOMATIC   STAINLESS STEEL   SWISS MADE   WATERRESISTANT" with "20 ATMOSPHERES" followed by "86904   1" stamped in the center.
The crystal shows scratching/crazing and has some dust/debris on its underbelly.
The 25 jewels Swiss ETA 2782 automatic movement with quickset date function is clean
    but does not run.
And when trying to set the time the screwdown crown will unscrew.
The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling the crown out to the first position and then slowly turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached.  The crown winds smoothly and screws down (
although if it is screwed down too tight it will pop out
    ).
Given that the movement does not run, that the crown unscrews when attempting to set the time and considering the movement's unknown service history, a complete overhaul is required.
This watch measures approximately 36 mm excluding the crown, approximately 39.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs.  Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the mid-case, is approximately 7 mm.  Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm.
Given that the movement does not run, that the crown unscrews when trying to set the time and considering the movement's unknown service history, a complete overhaul is required.
As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch.  Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.
For this watch that time is now.  Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility.
Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given.  And please study the 12 high magnification pictures carefully, which were taken in natural light and from various angles, as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.
Expedited and insured shipping will be provided.  Thanks for looking!
