Vintage Matson Rose Footed Vanity Soap Dish Glass/Gold Hollywood Regency

Has some wear to the gold on one of the roses when I tried to clean out some soap on it. I was told there is some gilt paint you can get to fix that at the craft store. If this doesn't sell I was thinking of painting the roses red and leaves green with enamel paint. I am dying to do a project like that! Save it from me if you think it's a bad idea! Weighs 12.5 oz.
