Vintage 4 String Closed Back Tenor Banjo with Pearloid Fretboard & New Head

Description

Up for auction is this striking vintage tenor banjo.  This instrument sports a striking pearloid (also fondly referred to as "mother of toilet seat" fretboard and headstock veneer.  Sometime in the not-too-recent past someone gave this banjo a new REMO Weather King head.  This banjo also has a more modern "zero fret" nut, not original to the banjo.  The nut has some damage but due to the zero fret it does not effect playability.  The action needs to be adjusted, there's a little buzzing and fretting out towards body of the banjo.  While this is playable as-is, for professional playability the bridge will need adjusting, frets will probably need work, and the neck may ultimately need adjusting.  Please view the photos, ask questions, and bid accordingly.
