VINTAGE 1920s NAA GALENA TIN (EMPTY) BOX / CAN EARLY CRYSTAL RADIO PART

This is a VERY small tin box or can. It reads (in part): "This Package Contains One Selected And Carefully Tested Crystal Of NAA GALENA...THE NEWMAN-STERN CO. CLEVELAND, OHIO...GALENA - Famous The World Over For Its Supersensitive Qualities As A Rectifying Mineral In Radio Detectors." The box is EMPTY, but originally contained a small Galena crystal. These naturally made crystals, were used to pick up a reception in early "Crystal Radios." No battery or electricity was needed. The sound was faint and usually of poor quality, and these radios were soon obsolete. Later, in the fifties & sixties, crystal radios were sold as novelties. There is no date on this box, but it was made in the 1920's or early 1930's. It measures just 1 & 1/4 inches square, and about 1 inch tall. The condition is GOOD, with some small paint rubs & scratches, but no serious flaws. It displays very nicely, and is guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back.
