    Here's one of the rarer Tzvi Raphaeli paintings made sometime in 1959. It depicts A JERUSALEM OR TSFAT STREET SCENE.
    Medium: Gauche and wax.
    Measurements: This painting measures 20 X 15 inches. Signed by the artist on lower right hand and left hand corner, Hebrew and English. Painting will come WITHOUT a frame.
    Raphaeli is a listed artist and since he died in 2005 his paintings are appreciating in value having reached 00 for a SMALLER SIZED painting at a recent israeli Art auction. Makes a terrific investment opportunity!

    As a personal note which I heard from the artist's family. Raphaeli befriended Marc Chagal, and Chagall told  him once when they had a joint exhibit that he would not want to have a joint exhibit with anyone but him. What a compliment!
    Artist Bio: Zvi Raphaeli, Painter and Kabbalist Rabbi. b. 1924 d. 2005, Egypt. Educated in Paris from age three. Immigrated 1945. Studies: Beauxs, Paris; Bezalel, Jerusalem. Was in the Resistance in France during World War II. Lived in Israel in Safad, the home of the Kabbalah where he also learned the esoteric lore; as well as living in  Jerusalem.
