Depicts an old JEWISH PEASANT working in the field of his RUSSIAN or LITHUANIAN SHTETL. The etching is nicely framed. The size of frame is around 11" x 15" . The size of the area within the passepartout is around 8" x 5" . The size of the etching is 5" x 4" .

ARIE LAMDAN PAINTER BIOGRAPHY LIFE EVENTS Arie Lamdan was born in Israel in 1944. In 1966 he graduated from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Since 1966 he has lived in Israel. Lamdan draws and paints in many different media and techniques including oil, watercolor and etching, and sculpts in different materials such as clay, wood and metal. Lamdan’s works have been exhibited in numerous one-man exhibitions and group shows in Israel and abroad. Lamdan teaches painting and drawing in various institutions. He lectures on art history and guides art tours in Israel and in Europe. He is a member of the Israel Painters and Sculptors Association of Tel Aviv and the Association of Artists of Rishon le Zion. In 2008 his book “Arie Lamdan: Etching and Reflecting” was published. Arie Lamdan is the father of 3 and lives in Rishon Le Zion with his wife, Anne..**** Arieh Lamdan, sculptor, painter, born 1944, Israel. 1954 Went with parents to USA, 1966 returned to Israel. Illustrated children's books by Dvora Omer. Drew fifteen historical sites for City of Rishon Le Zion. Represented his city in exchange of artists with twin city, Munster, Germany. 1994 Completed course for tour leaders abroad. 1995 and 1996 led group tours of art students in Italy and France. 1981 A member of the ''Group of Six''. A founder of Rishon Le Zion Artists' Association. Lives in Rishon Le Zion. Married with three children.
