Before you is a rare and wonderfully produced work of Jewish Art made some time in the 1920's or 1930's in "Palestine". It's a Your Zeit Memorial Poster - Calendar. It was printed for the Hessed LeAbraham Charity Organization in Jerusalem. They in turn gave this poster to their donors for them to write for their own use the date their loved ones died.
Such type of posters and calendars were printed for many charitable organizations in Palestine, USA as well as Europe. This colorful edition however has really vibrant colors and artistry depicting the Holy places in the Land of Israel such as the Western Wall, Rachel's Tomb and the Mt of Olives. A nice depiction on the lower left also shows scholars learning for the Soul of the donor's deceased.
The poster was printed by the Dfus "Graphica" printing firm and the artist's name on the lower right hand corner was a certain M. Cohen.
MEASUREMENTS: The poster measures 14 x 18 inches and is frameable, never used.
CONDITION: Very minor tears on margins, when framed it won't be seen. No stains.
