    Circa 1920's Large Crystal Radio Receiver with 3 Stage Crystal!
    I have been collecting / dealing in Antiques and Collectibles for well over 45 years. Most of the treasures I get are found in or come out of houses and estates. Over this period of time I set aside many items that I felt were especially "unique and eclectic" for my own personal (and rather extensive) collection. I am now at a point in my life that I have to realize I need to limit my addiction of continuing to do this and (shutter) in fact downsize (slim down to calm my shutter) the rather extensive hoard of items that encompasses my collection. I suggest that you consider adding me to your list of sellers that you follow as there will be many decommissioned treasures from my collection as well as many new unique acquisitions that I would have set aside for my collection!
    This is one of the items from my personal collection! Forgive me for my tendency to be somewhat over informative. However, I feel that it is helpful to the new and novice collectors that are becoming interested in collecting.
    Crystal radio receivers are the simplest type of radio receiver that were made from a few relatively inexpensive parts, primarily a wire for an antenna, a coil of copper wire for adjustment, a capacitor, a crystal detector, and earphones. Crystal radios are passive receivers producing rather weak sound and require sensitive earphones for listening. They will only receive stations within a limited range.
    I believe this radio to have been home built using a kit. It is rather large in size with an approximate 8" x 5 1/2" base and a 5 3/4" height. It has a 3 headed crystal. There are no earphones or antenna (which can be a simple bear wire).
    The radio is in good to very good working condition.
