    Here we have an 8 x 12 photo showing a soldier from Battery A, 2nd Battalion, 6th Air Defense Artillery Brigade sits in the gunner's seat of an Avenger air defense system during Operation Desert Shield. A four-tube Stinger anti-aircraft missile launcher is on each side of the gunner's station, which is mounted on a pedestal carried by an M-998 High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). The original image dated to January 11, 1991.
