ART NOUVEAU PASSOVER HAGGADAH 1933 in French
This is one of the most beautifully illustrated haggadot ever printed. It contains about a dozen color
ed illustrations
in art noveau style typical of the 1920s. There were several editions of this haggada in a few languages (English, French, Hungarian, & German). The only major difference between the illustrations is that the centerfold of this one contains
Rambam, Rashi,Rabbenu Tam, etc seat
ed around
the Seder table
.
Both haggadot are rare and wonderfully illustrated. I’ve seen these haggadot go for  0 at judaica auctions.
Hagadah was printed in Vienna in
1933
by the Joseph Schlesinger publishing firm. This seems to be the first FRENCH language edition.

64
pages NOT including the prints.
Measurements: 9 x 12 inches.
Condition: Some staining on some of the pages. Spine is a bit
split.
