    Description

    Approx. 1 3/4" diameter and 7/8" thick, this antique coin/token purse is marked with initials 'E.B.Bth' and 'S.G.D.G' above the figure Pan. Pan has great detail and is a separate brass piece. It pulls open to reveal a 3 section coin/token cloth holder. The reverse is a beveled mirror. Very good condition with some slight wear to the mirror (the reverse has worn a bit around the edges). The silverplate could use a cleaning. Very unusual. I believe it was an accessory to a chatelaine. Pan: Greek God Goat Footed Shepherd. Bringer of Music - God of Pastures & Woods.
