This is a gorgeous Vintage Stelling Banjo that is all original.  The Banjo has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
Stelling Banjos have become incredibly hard to find.  Not only did Geoff Stelling get inducted into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame he also is retiring this year.  There will be no more Stelling Banjos and they have become nearly impossible to find.  This is a solid example of a Stelling at a great price.
This has a block rim and a neck and resonator with gorgeous Maple.  The fretboard is ebony with snowflake position markers.  The hardware is nickel and this is all original including a Stelling One piece bowtie flange and a Stelling no hole tone ring.  Functionally this banjo is incredible.
I do want to mention there is some very light surface cracking on one side of the neck by the headstock.  This is pictured and this is definitely not an issue for function.
The banjo includes a new hardshell case.
Condition
This is in outstanding condition overall and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been buffed to a shine.  The wood has been waxed which also brings out some glow.  The fretboard is clean with overall clean frets.  The frets look great with minimal wear.  There are no spikes.  There was once a 5th string capo that has been removed which has left two screw holes exposed.
I mentioned the surface crack on the side of the neck and that is pictured and is also minor.  The case is new and in mint condition.
Set Up
This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse.  This has a new Remo frosted head which is set to 90.  The bridge is a Snuffy Smith and the intonation is set.  The action feels great and this is a super player.  This has a lot of tone and really feels great.
With Stelling Banjos becoming so rare I do legitimately believe every Stelling Banjo is also a good investment.
