    Description

    This is a PDF
    electronic copy
(not a printed copy) of the 626 page Volkswagen Thing Service Manual.  Some call this a "Shop Manual" so it is also listed under that name in my store.
I scanned in the original shop manual page by page and now am making it available for almost nothing.  There is a guy selling an earlier edition of my work.  He lies saying he paid over 0 for it!
He is a sneaky thief, but I will not be outdone. We cannot have him profit from stolen work, so now I uploaded it to the web for you to download!
I cannot post a link here for you to get it free because links are not allowed. Instead, pay .99 (lowest eBay buy it now price) and I will email you the link as a response to your PayPal payment.  Or send me a message and I will reply with how you can find my Download online without checking out! :)
(Also I have a high res version that will only fit on a CD, which I can mail you, if you prefer, look in my store or search Item 290582957825).
You get the entire 626 pages saved as separate PDF files for easier reference.  You can print out some or all as you like or need.
The service manual contains detailed assembly and repair information for the Body, Brakes, Electrical, Gas Heater, Transmission and Rear Suspension, Fuel and EGR System, Technical Information, Engine System, Ignition System and Front Suspension and Steering specific to the 181 Volkswagen Thing.
If you choose "Buy it Now," I include a 230 page Volkswagen Thing Parts Manual for free.  It contains a 3.2 megabyte PDF file that lists all the part numbers and has diagrams that correspond with the part numbers so you can identify your part more easily.  It also can help you understand how parts go together.
